Home-Based

I’ve been working home-based again these past few days and I think, overall, its a good thing. First, I get to save some money for fare and food. Second, I get to save time since I wont have to travel anywhere anymore. Third, I could sleep in my own bed if I want during lunch breaks plus fourth, I also get to play some games during some free time (okay, I’ll be honest - even during working hours *lol*).

On top of that, I get the chance to do my work and watch over my mom at the same time. You see, Mama’s been hospitalized several weeks ago due to experiencing some difficulty in breathing. She has always had some heart disease and then the doctors found out this time that she has pneumonia too. As of today, she’s already fine although she is still taking a lot of medications (8 medicines all in all) and she has to come back for another check-up this Thursday. At least now that I’m already home-based again, I could be with her while my brother goes to school.

One disadvantage that I’m seeing about being home-based though is that my time with friends get limited sometimes. Although I have a lot of online buddies to chat with, the time I spend going out with some of my friends here gets reduced because I work here and I’m already lazy to go out after working hours.

Anyway, what’s cool is that my friends texted me today and asked me to go out tomorrow. It’s gonna be Lalaine’s farewell party of sorts since she’s heading for Germany come April 7. Also, I’ve heard Bashang has also received her call to serve as a full-time missionary for our church. She’s going to spend her 18 months at Davao Mission - the same mission where I served. Needless to say, I’m excited and happy for her.

Gotta end this post now. I better rest so I could get more work done tomorrow so I could leave eariler. After all, it should be nice to break the silence and get out of my cave every once in a while.

    Actually, its an old job but new setting. Hehe.. Ayos pud ning home-based pero needs discipline gud. Wa na may ga-supervise and youre on your own. you can slack if you want but that compromises your earnings. Hehehe… Thanks, bay!

    Another advantage of you being home all the time: I’m sure your mom feels better each day that you’re there. :) Unless pasaway ka. Hehehe.

    Kakawili nga, Sarge. Another perk is I get to wear just shorts and tsinelas while doing work. Kaso wala kaming TV eh. YouTube lang! hahah..
